Lives Impacted

From sleeping on floors and under bridges to becoming an award-winning global voice, author, and publisher. A testimony that proves setbacks can become setups for greater purpose.

I was once a school dropout, not because I am unintelligent, but because life was overwhelmingly hard and I had no one to turn to for help. I've slept on floors, under bridges, in places where dignity was a luxury. I have been homeless several times.

I've experienced the kind of emptiness that makes you question your worth, your purpose, and whether life will ever get better. I have tasted failure in more ways than I care to count, business dreams that crumbled before they began, opportunities that slipped through my fingers, and even the pain of marital failure.

Each blow threatened to break me, and each disappointment tried to bury me. But even in my lowest moments, something within me refused to die. I held on to unwavering trust in God. I chose to remain focused, even when everything around me screamed defeat.

I learned to persevere not because I was strong, but because I refused to give up. There were times I didn't know where my next meal would come from. Times I was mocked, misunderstood, and overlooked.

But through it all, I learned that God doesn't waste pain. I began to see that the struggles weren't punishments, they were preparation. The fire refined me. The rejection redirected me. The pain gave birth to purpose.

Today, I look back with tears, not of sorrow, but of gratitude. Those nights I cried myself to sleep, those days I begged God for one more chance, they shaped me. The rejection redirected me. The pain gave birth to purpose.

I stand today as living proof that being homeless doesn't mean being hopeless. That failure is not the end of your story, and God can lift anyone from the ashes of life and give them a new beginning.

This is not just my story; it's a testimony. A testimony that God is still in the business of rewriting stories, restoring lives, and raising people from the pit to the palace.

So if you're reading this and feel like giving up, don't. Your story is not over. This chapter may be painful, confusing, or even heartbreaking, but it's not the final chapter. God is still writing. He's not finished with you yet.

Your scars will become your strength. The wounds you carry, emotional, mental, and physical, are not the end of your life. They are the beginning of something new. Those scars are not signs of weakness; they are evidence that you survived.

One day, you'll look back and see that what once broke you is what built you. Your mess will become your message. What you thought would disqualify you is what God will use to qualify you.

The shame, the failures, the chaos—none of it is wasted. God specializes in turning broken pieces into beautiful testimonies. You don't have to hide your story; you will share it to set others free.

And your pain will lead to purpose. Every tear, every sleepless night, every setback is a setup for something greater. There is purpose in your pain. You may not see it now, but in time, God will reveal how it all fits into His divine plan for your life.

What tried to destroy you will become the platform for your destiny. You may be down now, but you are not out. You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. You are not finished.

The God who lifted me out of hopelessness, who restored what I thought was lost forever, is the same God who can do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or imagine.

If God did it for me, He can do it for you. Hold on. Don't let go. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Your breakthrough is on the way. Your story is still unfolding, and the best pages are yet to be written.

Lives Changed

Leaving a 15-year banking career to become a nurse and educator. When challenges came, she trusted God's voice and turned setbacks into a mission to help others succeed.

When Julie Chinwe Anyanwu walked away from a successful 15-year career in banking in Nigeria, she didn't yet know that her greatest calling was waiting for her across the ocean.

In 2013, after moving to the United States to join her husband, she found herself starting over in a new country, a new culture, and eventually—an entirely new profession.

"I never planned on becoming a nurse," Julie admits. "But God had a bigger plan."

That plan wasn't easy. Nursing school came with its own demands, but the greatest challenge loomed in the form of the NCLEX exam—the rigorous test that determines if nursing graduates are ready to practice.

For Julie, preparing for the NCLEX was more than academic; it was spiritual.

"There were nights of fear, moments when I wondered if I could do it," she recalls. "But God spoke to me clearly—He told me to study quickly and pass because others were waiting for me. He told me I was an NCLEX instructor."

Julie did pass—and what could have been the end of a personal victory became the beginning of a mission.

Julie's journey is remarkable not only for her professional shift from banking to nursing but also for how she uses both worlds to inspire others. Her banking years taught her discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities she now pours into her teaching.

Today, as the founder of Jack's NCLEX Nursing Review, Julie coaches aspiring nurses—especially repeat test takers—guiding them through the complexities of the exam until they walk across the finish line as licensed professionals.

"The greatest reward for me," she says, "is getting that call or message from a student who once doubted themselves but now says, 'I passed!' That joy never gets old."

Julie doesn't just teach content; she teaches courage. To every student, and to anyone chasing a dream, she offers this advice:

"Risk-taking is imperative. Sometimes you'll stumble, but that's part of the process. Be faithful to your dreams, not to others' opinions. Success requires stepping out of your comfort zone. Stay consistent, stay persistent, and trust God's timing."

Her words carry the weight of someone who has lived them. Julie knows what it's like to start over, to face setbacks, and to feel overwhelmed. But she also knows what it means to turn challenges into testimonies.

Today, Julie is not only a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner but also an author, instructor, and mentor. Her life is proof that no experience is wasted—that the skills from a banking hall can serve a hospital ward, and that even the hardest exam can open the door to a greater purpose.
